March Athlete of the Month
It’s time to make some noise for Mr International, who completed his 6 star journey this past month. Now that’s Major! ✈️ Ish is no stranger to the longer distances, having clocked a mind-bending 28 marathons over the years. That being said - whilst earning his 6 stars have undoubtedly granted Ish road running Royalty status, it’s his majestic beard that grants his celebrity status across all the Cape Town runcrews
1) when did you start running
I started running in 2012 as I saw a sense of community within the running space in Cape Town and it seemed like a great alternative to gym.
2) how many marathons to date?
I have run 28 marathons, 7 Two Oceans Ultramarathons and 7 Comrades marathons to date.
3) something unassuming about yourself?
I don’t love hills 😂 but I know the benefits of hill repeat training and that’s why I love the Edinburgh Drive Challenge because it challenges me.
