Gail is the definition of “work hard in silence, and let your results speak for themself.” She rarely speaks about herself and her many accomplishments, but rather focuses on uplifting others. I mean let’s not forget how she did road support every weekend for Road To Oceans! 🌊 It’s what makes celebrating her all the more special. 🫶 And so, because she’ll likely not tell you herself, this absolute badass came 3rd in her age category at the MUT marathon. 🥉 That’s massive (both in distance and in rank). And in tru Gail form, after slogging it out and coming in a spicy third she still went back out and into the mountains to fetch a friend who was struggling to finish. Man this community is all the richer for having someone like her!

Is there a moment that stands out that made you stick around at MLH?
I was going through a rough patch at the time where I felt afraid and a friend invited me to come run with her. What stood out for me was this run-crews emphasis on inclusiveness creating a welcoming environment for everyone. The passion they have for self-improvement through running weather you a newcomer, a novice or ultramarathoner it’s about collective fitness. Being part of this MLH community that shares the passion for running creates a sense of belonging and connectedness and having this support system makes any type running easier and enjoyable. I’ve learnt to do the best where I’m at to become a better version of myself and my yesterdays. If you looking for a reset in life - just lace up 🏃🏼♀️
What are your hobbies when your not running?
I love doing other things like - volunteering with local charities, Cross-Fit training, Weightlifting, Yoga, Hiking, Surfing, Exploring new place and experiencing various cultures
What is your fave race to date and why?
MUT by UTMB World Series one of my favs. I was blessed to have the opportunity to do my first international trailrun marathon experience with the best humans in George. With BIG hard climbs, technical downs, indigenous forest along the Outenique Mountains the views where spectacular and literally took my breath away on climbs lol.
